Cementmix

How do I use Cementmix?

Use Cementmix instead of water when mixing concrete of cement.

Can you lay hard stone floor tiles directly in cement which was created with Cementmix?

Yes, that is not a problem.

Tip: Firmly press the tiles into the cement so you have a thight fit.

Does Cementmix contribute in the curing process?

Yes, Cementmix promotes the curing process of concrete and cement. Curing will ensure that the correct temperature and dampness is maintained during the process of hydration of concrete/cement.

Can Cementmix be used to create a green roof?

Yes, a green roof is a rook thatched with plants. To prevent leaking use Cementmix. Cementmix is 100% environmentally friendly and will not affect the vegetation.

Can Cementmix be used with Knauf concrete mortar?

Yes, Cementmix is tested with Knauf concrete mortar. By replacing the amount of water recommended by Knauf with Cementmix, you don’t only got a mortar which has a higher density, but also strengthen and waterproof the end product while preserving the vapor permeability.

Is Cementmix environmentally friendly?

Yes, Cementmix is on water basis. 100% people and environmentally friendly, and vapor-permeable.

Can I use Cementmix in the bathroom/shower or on a Knauf LSP?

When the first layer if not applied, or not thicker than 2cm, Cementmix is the ideal solution. Cementmix makes the Knauf through and through waterproof. Permacon can be used when the first layer is thicker than 2 cm.

What is the difference between Cementmix, Oppercon and Permacon?

Cementmix
Cementmix replaces water and makes all kinds of cement, concrete, self-leveling mortar etc., through-and-through water- and liquid proof. This applies to both the surface, as for the underlying layers. Any finish like paint, cement or any other kind, is not possible. The treatment is permanent.

Oppercon
Oppercon is a surface treatment repellent agent for concrete, stone and stony materials.
Without leaving any visible trace of its presence, it will, unlike Permacon, make the surface of these materials waterproof, water repellent and UV-resistant. Because of its repellent properties, it means that a finish, like paint, cement or any kind of finish is not possible. The Oppercon treatment should be repeated after 15 years.

Permacon
Permacon can be applied to any cementitious surface (concrete, stucco, concrete bricks, stone bricks, marble, gypsum or porous natural stone etc.). Its simplicity as for the application techniques, makes it most convenient for the treatment of walls, floors, ceilings and any structure made with these materials, in any form and size.

Permacon is very suitable under hydrostatic pressure for concrete ending up underneath the soil, like basements, foundations, sewage pipes, tunnels or with floor heating etc. after you’ve applied Permacon. Unlike Oppercon, which is a repellent agent, it’s possible to add a finish paint, cement or any kind of finish you wish. Guaranteeing a perfect, durable and waterproof surface.

Permacon

Can Permacon be applied on a damp/moist surface?

Yes, although it would be best to apply Permacon  on a dry surface. The downfall of applying Permacon on a wet surface, is that you can’t see which parts of the surface are already treated with Permacon.

Rain after treatment with Permacon is not a problem. Permacon dissappears so quickly in to the surface that it will not rain off.

After how much time can Permacon be applied to a freshly poured concrete floor?

As soon as you can walk over the surface of the new concrete floor, you can apply Permacon.

Can Permacon only be spayed on the surface, or is using a brush or roller also an option?

Permacon can also be applied with a roller or brush. It depends on the amount of m2 which method you should use. For large surfaces spraying is the way to go, because this will leave you with a nice and even application (and it is less time consuming).

How does Permacon penetrate the concrete?

Permacon has virtually no surface tension, and will also reduce the surface tension of the concrete itself. This gives Permacon the ability to deeply penetrate the concrete without any additional pressure.

After the application of Permacon, I saw no difference to the treated surface. How can this be?

Permacon fully disappears in the concrete and makes the first 2 a 3 cm liquid tight. Although not visible to the naked eye, notice that water or liquid will not be able to penetrate the surface. Because of this algae and moss will not grow/survive.

How much Permacon is sufficient?

Two layers is sufficient for Permacon to work optimally. Apply evenly without creating puddles and/or drops. 1 liter is sufficient for 4 m2.

How do I know I used enough Permacon?

With a dry surface, and after 48 hours of treatment; stick a DRY sponge with tape on the wall or floor. Remove the sponge after 24 hours. When a damp spot remains on the wall or floor, you will have to apply an extra layer of Permacon.

How long is Permacon preservable?

In a sealed an frost free environment Permacon can be preserved for up to 12 months. After opening Permacon has a shelf life of 6 months.

Does a treatment with Permacon need to be repeated after a period of time?

No, one-time treatment with Permacon is sufficient. Permacon becomes an integrated and permanent part of the concrete structure.

Can (rising) damp be countered with Permacon?

Yes, Permacon is the ideal product to solve this problem. A treatment with Permacon makes the floor waterproof and water repellent while maintaining the vapor permeability of the floor.

Does Permacon work on asphalt?

No, Permacon does not work on asphalt. Permacon is sometimes used for Porous Asphalt (PA) to protect it against water intrusion.

Does Permacon penetrate a painted floor?

No, the surface should be completely stripped of organic pollution and other pore-sealing layers (such as paint) before applying Permacon. Otherwise the penetration of Permacon could be stopped.

Is Permacon suitable to treat a concrete counter-top and permanently protect is against dirt and water?

Yes, Permacon is perfectly suitable for this application. Permacon penetrates the concrete and gives water and dirt no change to penetrate the concrete. Permacon becomes totally integrated with the concrete.

Permacon does not wear off. Therefor, with Permacon you get permanently conserved concrete.

Is Permacon suitable to protect a concrete sink against toothpaste and soap?

We advice to treat the concrete with Permacon first, followed by Oppercon. Permacon makes the sink permanently waterproof, while Oppercon makes the sink water- and dirt repellent.

Can Permacon also be applied on Knauf LSP 650 and in the bathroom?

Permacon can certainly be used on Knauf if the first layer is at least 2 cm thick. But if the first layer is not yet applied, Cementmix is a better option. Especially when the first layer is not thicker than 2 cm. Cementmix makes the Knauf through-and-through waterproof and hard.

Is it possible to finish a concrete floor, which is treated with Permacon, with a leveling mortar such as e.g. Knauf filler?

Yes, Permacon is designed for this. Permacon makes concrete impervious, while the top layer can still be finished with any kind of finish, for example a leveling of Knauf.

Is 1 liter Permacon sufficient for 2 layers of 4 m?

Yes, 1 liter Permacon is sufficient for two layers of 4m2. So basically, 1 liter Permacon is sufficient for 8m2.

What is the difference between Permacon, Oppercon and Cementmix?

Oppercon

Can Oppercon be applied after a Permacon treatment?

Yes, it is actually the perfect overall protector for concrete, stones and rock.

How long does Oppercon work?

Depending on the circumstances (macro-environment), the immediate micro-environment (could differ locally) and the intensity of mechanical load on the surface (floors) or the lack thereof (walls), Oppercon will be an effective product which lasts approximately 10 years. After this period you can re-apply Oppercon without having to clean the surface (due to the biodegradable features of Oppercon).

When can I apply Oppercon?

Apply Oppercon if the surface is hand dry. The surface must be completely stripped of organic pollution and possible pore-sealing layers such as paint or other obstructive materials.

Is Oppercon vapor permeable?

Yes, Oppercon protects the surface but does not seal it totally. The material continues to “breathe” so the vapor permeability is maintained; good water management is assured.

Is Oppercon environmentally friendly?

Yes, because of its unique blend of natural ingredients Oppercon is people and environmentally friendly. Because of its biodegradable properties Oppercon will lose its water-repellent effect in the course of the years (± 10 years). This makes it possible to re-apply a new layer of without having to remove the first first.

What is the difference between Oppercon, Permacon and Cementmix?

Woodcon

How much Woodon do I need for my garden shed?

1 liter of Woodcon will be sufficient for ± 9m2.

We have a new thatched roof, can we use Woodcon to protect it against algae and fungus?

Yes, Woodcon is very suitable to be applied on wood and all types of thatch/reed.

Does Woodcon leave behind a color/tint? Header text

No, Woodcon leaves no color, does not change the texture, nor does it give the wood a shiny or wet look. Woodcon accentuates the grain and natural rustic look of wood.

Can I mix Woodcon with pigments to color the wood in one go?

Yes, it’s not a problem to mix Woodcon with pigments.

Does Woodcon harm my garden plants? Header text

No, Woodcon is 100% people and environmentally friendly.

Ecocal

In the Ecocal video, a bottle with tap water is used to rinse off the limescale from the stone, is that sufficient?

No, once the reaction is complete (1 min.), you must use a pressure washer to rinse off the remaining white spots for at least 5 minutes. Repeat this whole process until the white spots are gone.

Can I apply Ecocal with a roller?

Yes you can. When working above your head, we advise you though, to use a brush and these tools should NOT be made of plastic.

In the description it states, “you can dilute Ecocal 1:40 with water”. When or for what application is that?

You can dilute Ecocal with water. E.g., when you want to remove algae growth. However, if you want to tackle the white spots, then we recommend that you do not dilute Ecocal. The more you dilute Ecocal with water, the less powerful it will be.

Is Ecocal always effective?

Rarely it happens that the chemical reaction won’t take place, and therefore, the white patches do not disappear completely. Being a customer, this is very annoying and therefore we find it important and fair, to inform you of this fact in our Ecocal application-description. Because of the high percentage of customers that do benefit from the use of Ecocal, we decided to keep the product available for you.
